APTB Fleet Allowed to Operate Until Buffer City

Transportation (APTB) in the city. As planned, the buses which operate from the buffer cities will be restricted entry to the entire Jakarta area and is allowed to operate until the integrated bus stop.
"APTB bus from Tangerang only operates until Kalideres, likewise with from Bekasi until Cawang and so on. Nevertheless, we will study it in advance," said Head of Jakarta Transportation Department, Benjamin Bukit, Friday (1/9).
PT Transjakarta to Take Over APTB ManagementBenjamin disclosed that his department has repeatedly sent a warning letter to the APTB bus driver and operator, because they have violated the rules. "We've often warned them, but they still ignore it. Yet they pleaded guilty and will no longer break the rules," he expressed.
PPD Director, Pande Putu Yasa revealed he was ready to follow such plan as long as there should be solution and its study first. "We're in government side. Thus, any policy will be responded in a positive way. But, every policy must be solved," he exclaimed.
He uttered reasons why a solution and a clear study required is because many operators who invest the APTB fleet. "The problem is APTB people already invested. That's why, the solution is required," he explained.
He also suggests Jakarta government to implement a salary system for APTB bus drivers with calculations of rupiah method per kilometer like as Transjakarta bus. "My advice, if PT Transjakarta manages the APTB, bus driver will be paid with rupiah per kilometer," he asked.
He continued all this time the APTB bus routes which operate in the city are Bekasi-Pulogebang and Bekasi- HI Roundabout. Thus far he has managed 15 units. "We have bus route from Bekasi-Kampung Rambutan, but it is not yet operated," he told.
Yasa added that the APTB bus can carry 4,700 passengers per day. Each passenger charged bus ticket by Rp 9,000.
